Public Affairs Officer - London Victoria (Hybrid) - Permanent - £40,000 - £45,000:

Here at National Gas we are working to make the world greener and to support us do just that we are looking to recruit for a new Public Affairs Officer as our team grows. Our public affairs team track the political landscape, policy and regulation and the influence that has on our business activity. All political parties and regulatory bodies have their vision on the hotly discussed topic and this impacts our work and what we do, so you will engage with a variety of these regulations and policies and will take a lead on ensuring these are communicated and delivered against effectively.
You will work towards tight deadlines supporting our Public Affairs & Policy Manager and will be skilled in researching, authoring documents and delivering crucial information to various stakeholders through means of engagement.
As our Public Affairs Officer, you should have an inquisitive mind with the ability to interpret new policy and regulatory changes and communicate these effectively with our teams to ensure we meet these requirements and are kept up to date in line with changes & developments.
Ideally, you will have worked in a similar regulated environment, it would be advantageous to have worked in Energy sector before but not essential if you have an interest in sustainability, energy, Net Zero and the transferrable skills as a Public Affairs Officer.

What you can expect from us:

We offer a salary of between £40,000 and £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
You'll also be eligible for an annual bonus based on your own and the company's performance.
You'll get 26 days' holiday per year, alongside the 8 statutory bank holidays, with the option to buy more.
