Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled and reliable solar PV installers to join our team.

As a solar PV installer, you will be responsible for performing various tasks on our installation sites or similar work environments.

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to perform manual labour and operate a variety of tools and equipment.

You will have already have an appropriate period of experience as a solar PV installer, at least 3 years. You will have knowledge of the main mounting systems and roof types, particularly commercial.

Duties:

Perform general installation duties such as setting out and fixing mounting systems, fixing panels, stringing, crimping MC4s and running DC cable
Taking instructions from the team leader, and leading a labourer(s)
Assist with the setup and cleanup of work areas
Operate hand tools and power tools as required
Assist with basic welding tasks
Provide support to skilled tradespeople as needed
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Perform other duties as assigned

Experience:

Previous experience in a solar PV installation
Familiarity with a range of brands and types of panels, mountings, roofs and inverters
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
Basic understanding of electrical systems is beneficial
Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings is a plus
Working knowledge of health and safety practices

Skills:

Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour for extended periods of time
Excellent handeye coordination and dexterity
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
