You'll need to be able to deliver programmes from level 1 to level 4, so relevant qualifications in counselling practice and experience either in one-to-one or group therapy is a must.

Your ideas and input will be vital in continuing to improve courses and ensuring they remain industry relevant.


You will also need to be able to work closely with Personal tutors and Student mentors to ensure learners are fully supported throughout their time with us and ready to hit the ground running in the real world.


Day-to-day you will be responsible for:

  • Teaching counselling courses ranging from levels
  • 4
  • Support colleagues with pastoral duties to give learners rounded support
  • Exemplifying our values of Fairness, Respect & Equality
  • Championing our commitment to putting students first

After your first year with us, success would look like:

  • 1st-year students with a target grade of Pass achieved Merit or Distinction
  • Have built student skills to a high level in preparation for industry
  • Enthusiastically engaged with our dedicated continuous professional development programme to expand your education skills and further your FE career

Though ideally, you will:


  • Hold relevant counselling qualifications and have 11 or group therapy experience
  • Have a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards within 12 months of starting (college funded)
  • Be passionate about working with learners and shaping the future of the wellbeing sector
