Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Lifting Supervisor to oversee and coordinate lifting operations on our construction sites.

The Lifting Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all lifting activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant regulations and company standards.


Responsibilities:


  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise lifting operations on construction sites, ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop method statements for lifting activities, taking into account sitespecific conditions and requirements.
  • Liaise with project managers, site managers, and lifting teams to develop lift plans and schedules that meet project objectives and safety standards.
  • Select appropriate lifting equipment and ensure that it is properly inspected, maintained, and operated by competent personnel.
  • Provide clear instructions and guidance to crane operators, riggers, and other lifting personnel, ensuring that lifting operations are carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor lifting activities closely to identify and address any potential hazards or issues, taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of lifting activities, including lift plans, risk assessments, equipment inspections, and personnel certifications.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of lifting equipment and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a Lifting Supervisor in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of lifting operations and associated regulations.
  • Certification as a Lifting Supervisor (CPCS A62) or equivalent qualification.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate lifting operations and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Strong problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Physical fitness and agility to work outdoors and access high vantage points.
