Age Concern Mole Valley is a charity that supports older people across the district of Mole Valley. The vision is 'improving the lives of older people' and the mission is 'making later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience'. We are a small local charity that has been in operation for over 75 years. The charity came about at the instigation of the local Citizens Advice and was charged with a challenging mandate to support old people's welfare, especially around their isolation and loneliness in the community, which is still one of our main strategic aims.


Can you improve the lives of older people in Mole Valley? If yes, we are seeking an experienced and committed individual to lead our Volunteer Management Programme. The successful applicant will lead on the recruitment, training and retention of volunteers in a supportive role to assist with the delivery of all aspects of the organisation's activities. Working closely with colleagues you will assess referrals for the Befriending service and match them appropriately with Volunteer Befrienders.


The post holder will need good organisational and administrative skills, knowledge of legislation and best practice related to volunteers and have excellent interpersonal skills.

You will need to be a good communicator, be able to work well as part of a small team, but also be confident to work under your own initiative.

He or she will need to be educated to graduate level or have equivalent experience.
