Job descriptionWe're looking for a brilliant new CEO to lead our growing intergenerational charity.
You'll be taking over from the charity's co-founders, leading a fantastic team through an exciting time of transition as we grow our programmes and increase our impact.
InCommon is a charity bringing generations together to build connected, inclusive and age-friendly communities.Founded in 2017 by co-founders Charlotte and Laura, InCommon has already connected more than 2,000 people of all ages through delightful intergenerational workshops, creative projects, social action campaigns, and more.
The new CEO role will be leading a team of 5 and reporting to our Board of Trustees.Responsibilities include:
- Shaping and delivering InCommon's strategy in partnership with Trustees, team members and participants
- Leading the team: championing, supporting, motivating and holding space; line managing senior team members
- Fundraising and partnershipsbuilding to ensure long term sustainability; managing organisational finances and budgets
- Supporting the team to deliver impactful direct programmes and an innovative online platform facilitating grassroots intergenerational projects across the country
- Overseeing InCommon's external communications and being our voice to the world
- Being responsible for the day to day operations of the charity and ensuring we offer a safe and effective service
- Playing a role in building a national movement of intergenerational connection
We are seeking someone who embodies the values of InCommon and who shares our vision of bringing people of all ages together.

- You are a compassionate and collaborative leader. You value, look after and motivate the teams you work with
- You can plan strategically, manage uncertainty and juggle multiple moving parts
- You love to learn and would relish the challenge of growing with the charity
- You're an effective and insightful professional experienced in third sector leadership
- You understand and value frontline programme delivery, including the importance of excellent safeguarding
- You're comfortable with numbers and budget responsibility
- You are a skilled and confident communicator
