Key Objectives
Reporting to the Management Team you will be responsible for unloading/loading of deliveries in a safe and efficient manner. You will be required to move materials from the yard to the correct staging areas within the factory. You will also load/unload pallet racking, ensuring all documentation is recorded accurately.
Responsibilities include:
- Adherence to health and safety rules and regulations
- Working outside in the yard locating stock
- Distribute stock to various locations around the factory and document
- Goods In unload safely, check off, locate and document accurately
- Goods Out load safely, check off, locate and document accurately
- Checking loads are secure
- Performing and recording daily equipment checks
- Assisting with stock checks of all materials
- Maintaining production area housekeeping
- Minimise waste by using/disposing of raw materials and consumable items efficiently
- Operating all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Assist in stores when required and assist where required lifting items with the FLT
- Maintaining a safe working environment at all times
- Side loader license beneficial
The company requires all employees to adopt a flexible approach to work and you will be required from time to time to perform other duties.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Essential
- Counterbalance Licence / Reach Truck Licence
- Desirable
- Side Loader / Combi Lift Licence
- Experienced and competent in operating Counterbalance / Reach Truck
- Organised, proactive and self motivated individual
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Ability to ensure production output target and quality is maintained
Day shift:
Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm (early finish on Fridays 3:30pm)
- Day shift starting salary £27,320.00 per year (£12.66 per hour)
- Overtime Monday
- Friday paid at 1.25 x the hourly rate
- Overtime on weekends paid at 1.5 x the hourly rate
