Heatwaves, major fires and avian a few of the major emergencies that the Joint Cheshire Emergency Planning Team has had to plan for and respond to over the last twelve months on behalf of both Cheshire East Council, and Cheshire West and Chester Council.

To assist the team in preparing both authorities for these types of scenario, and to meet the challenges of the Civil Contingencies Act, we are looking to recruit a new Planning & Exercising Officer.

This officer, an Agile Worker working mainly from home and occasionally from alternative locations, will be focused on the development, maintenance, and exercising of a range of emergency response plans, working with a wide range of partners to ensure a safe environment for the Cheshire community.
