The Student Hostel Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a student hostel, ensuring that the facility is clean, safe, and comfortable for all residents.

The Manager is also responsible for managing staff, coordinating maintenance andrepairs, and ensuring that the hostel is compliant with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:_

  • Manage daytoday operations of the hostel, including maintenance, cleaning, security, and administration.
  • Supervise and train staff, including cleaners, maintenance workers, and receptionists.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including resident files, financial reports, and maintenance logs.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the hostel to ensure compliance with local regulations and best practices.
  • Respond to resident complaints and concerns promptly and professionally, and work to resolve issues as quickly as possible.
  • Coordinate with external service providers, such as contractors and suppliers, to ensure timely and costeffective maintenance and repairs.
  • Manage the budget for the hostel, including revenue and expenses, and report regularly to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, staff, and other stakeholders, and promote a welcoming and inclusive community atmosphere.
  • Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to attract and retain residents.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety throughout the hostel, including common areas, rooms, and facilities.
  • Qualifications:_
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • 23 years of experience in hospitality management, property management, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and best practices related to student housing and hospitality management.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • The Student Hostel Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that the hostel provides a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for students.
