Who is Velocity?
Velocity was established in January 2007 and is an independent recruiter in the North East of England.

We specialise in temporary, contract and permanent recruitment across the logistic and warehouse sector supplying staff with full UK coverage.


Working Hours
Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm, (you will be required to be part of a rota for oncall for one weekend per month, you will be paid extra for this and gain an extra days holiday)


Experiance
2 years plus within the recrutment sector


Key tasks and responsibilities:


  • Working with client companies, building relationships in order to gain a better understanding of their recruitment needs and requirements.
  • Plan and carry out sales activities to maintain and develop existing customer relationships; increase the client base into regular accounts, and achieve personal targets.
  • Developing a good understanding of client companies, their industry, what they do and their work culture and environment.
  • Requesting references and checking the suitability of applicants before submitting their details to the employer.
  • Preparing CV's and correspondence to forward to clients in respect of suitable applicants.
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing of clients.
  • Reviewing recruitment policies to ensure effectiveness of selection techniques and recruitment programmes.
  • Inform clients of services available and provide additional information and quotations as necessary.
  • On a planned basis take responsibility for and manage the department's 24/7 telephone line.
