We are recruiting for a Locum Consultant Anaesthetist who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

We have 1 locum post available based at Lister Hospital in Stevenage, comprising of 10 programmed activities (PAs).

The job plan can be amended for those that do not wish to work more than 10 PA's or that wish to work part time.


This is an excellent opportunity within the Anaesthetics department for those with an interest in General Anaesthesia service provision requirements.


Interview Date: 18th April 2023


The post holder will be expected to be flexible in their approach to working patterns, undertaking theatre work on any site when required.

Any changes will be discussed before implementation and the PA allocation reviewed if they have a significant impact on the time commitment required.

Enthusiasm and a strong commitment to the training and education of trainees and other staff members are also expected.

The Trust has a comprehensive programme of leadership mentoring available for newly qualified Consultants. Opportunities are also available to other Consultant appointees to play an active part in the programme.

Maintenance of high-quality patient centered care
