Job Title:
Climate Risk Specialist

Reports To:
Head of Financial Climate Risk
Key Relationships:
Exposure Management Team, Underwriters, Actuaries, Responsible Business Team, Risk Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Financial Climate Risk to implement Beazley's climate risk strategy and management actions including through liaising with and coordinating the work of relevant teams.
- Assist with developing and implementing climate scenario analysis, including both physical risk and liability risk scenarios.
- Assist with integrating climate risk into underwriting process, e.g. developing and implementing climate change underwriting metrics, and underwriting risk assessment questions.
- Work closely with Responsible Business team on climate disclosures, e.g. TCFD (Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures).
- Assist with climate financial regulatory returns, e.g. PRA CBES and future version or global iterations.
- Assist with developing climate risk trainings
- Establish and maintain external network of market peers and experts
- Regulatory relationship engagement

- Insurance experience
- Experience with Climate Risk
- Knowledge of risk management tools and disciplines
- Understanding of climate risk & natural catastrophe models and concepts.
- Knowledge of climate liability risk desirable
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements on climate risk desirable
- Experience with climate risk scenario analysis and stress testing desirable
