Key Responsibilities:


  • Work with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain design information and quotes, and generate specifications
  • Assist in the preparation of design drawings and schematics in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Oversee projects during construction; work with contractors and respond to technical inquiries
  • Attend site visits to complete measurements and investigations of onsite equipment
  • Assist in the development of selecting equipment, determining HVAC loads and equipment selections

Skills / Qualifications:


  • Completion of relevant postsecondary diploma in Architectural Technology or Engineering Technologist
  • Up to 5 years relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to communicate ideas and recommendations to team members in a clear manner
  • Analytical, problem solving and decisionmaking skills
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Relevant work experience or academic project experience related to building systems would be an asset
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models (ex. AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) is required
