We have recently opened a second headquarters in London and are growing rapidly across all our teams including Sales & Marketing, Commercial, Operations, and Expeditions.


Position
We are looking for a Crewing Coordinator to join our Expedition team based in Kings Cross, London.

This person will be responsible for ensuring that the designated area is staffed to the correct complement with the right people, ensuring compliance against regulations whilst maintaining service and costs.


As a Crewing Coordinator, you will be working with colleagues within the Crewing team, Fleet and Shore SMT as well as our Worldwide partners accordingly to ensure all requirements are met.


Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:


  • You will be responsible for ensuring all rotation plans are developed in line with the Crew Repatriation Schedule.
  • Ensure that all rotations plans are in the main HR Crewing System 18 months ahead.
  • Make sure only fully qualified and compliant crew are planned to join.
  • Be responsible for developing contingency plans to support planned and unplanned events that can impact manning onboard.
  • Responsible for ensuring any crew members who disembark for unplanned reasons are taken care of.
  • Whilst working alongside the logistics coordinator, make sure the requirements for new build/dry docks are delivered.
  • Ensure mapping, coordinating, and implementing courses and training in collaboration with suppliers, ships, and operations on shore
  • Be the primary contact for all crewing queries
  • You will ensure the establishment is regularly maintained and sufficient to meet the demands of the business taking action to mitigate any risks as appropriate.
  • Support and participate in the recruitment process worldwide.
  • Coordinates with crewing agencies and makes sure all manning activities outsourced to crewing partners are timely and accurately performed.
  • Maintain uptodate and working knowledge of immigration and other maritime rules and regulations.
  • Ensure the HR crewing system data is accurate and up to date.
  • Continuous review and development of the rotations experience ensuring consistency across the crewing function, identifying opportunities for service improvement and cost reduction.
  • Able to demonstrate an effective level of influence, impact, and voice for the level of role.
  • Challenges the status quo and makes difficult decisions considering the impact and implications of the decision.
  • Work alongside fleet stakeholders to build a trusted service.
  • Take part with the oncall outofhours emergency phone on a rotation basis to ensure that the fleet is supported 24/7 365 days per year.
  • Able to support any projects as requested.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential

  • Bachelors' Degree in relevant related fields.
  • Experience in Manpower/Scheduling Planning.
  • At least 3 years experience working in the maritime/cruise/expedition industries.
  • Experience working in a dynamic highvolume operation.
  • Experience in managing budgets.
Desirable

  • Knowledge of Worldwide immigration.
  • Experience of recruiting sea based roles
  • Experience working with multinational offices.
  • Experience working with crewing system OCS
