Two part-time jobs:
1
) Administration and Communications Assistant, 6 hours per week, £11/hour, providing support to the Warden-Manager and the Meeting Clerk, including work with paper-based, electronic and online documents, updating information displays, production of a weekly newsletter, updating of website and social media pages. Digital skills and experience of office work are required.
2) Live-in Caretaker-Warden, at Winchester Quaker Meeting House, 20 hours per week, working mainly Fridays and Saturdays, and some evening work. Remuneration is £11 per hour, less a modest accommodation off-set for occupancy (including all utilities and council tax paid) of one-bed flat. The Meeting House is a venue for room-hire, and home to seven tenants, as well as Quaker activities. The role includes security duties, assisting visitors and users of the building, possibly some basic maintenance/gardening. Relevant experience is required.

The person appointed to the post will be required to sign a contract of employment and a service occupancy agreement, and will be asked to show a passport or other form of evidence of the right to live and work in the UK.
The employer is the Hampshire and Islands Area Quaker Meeting, which covers Hampshire, together with the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands (Registered charity It is intended that the post will begin as soon as possible after a successful interview.
The post is part time, 20 hours per week, between Tuesday and Saturday. The salary will be based on an hourly rate of £11, which includes an unsociable-hours allowance. An offset of £60.90 a week for the provided accommodation and services is deducted.
The Caretaker-Warden will be required to occupy the flat on the second floor of the Meeting House (no lift). The flat is furnished, and has one bedroom, lounge, kitchen and bathroom. It is possible for a couple to occupy this flat.
The flat has views to the south, of the Cathedral, Bishop's Palace and Wolvesey Castle ruins, and St Catherine's Hill in the distance.
The flat is rent-free apart from the accommodation offset mentioned above. The employer pays for heating, lighting, water, internet connection, Council Tax, telephone rental and local telephone calls.When the employment ends, the Caretaker-Warden will leave the flat.
It may be possible for one person to take on both jobs.
