Our client is a well-respected name throughout Kent and the South-East, employing over 35 members of staff, is looking for an enthusiastic, sociable, hard working and pro-active individual to join their friendly, long-standing and close-knit team.

Based at our Head office in Challock, near Ashford, this role is supporting a key Director within our Estate Management Team, assisting with the management of several impressive portfolios of residential properties linked to privately owned large country estates,as well as supporting on all elements of property management throughout the wider firm.


Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Carrying out property inspections and reporting to clients
  • Ensuring Landlord and Tenant compliance with lease covenants and statutory requirements including Health & Safety Regulations
  • Negotiating rent reviews and lease renewals for residential tenancies and other agreements linked to the wider Estates such as grazing licences, storage leases and other diversification projects
  • Dealing with maintenance issues and enquiries and the booking and supervision of repair and maintenance works contracts
  • Tenant liaison and dispute resolution; and
  • Pursuing outstanding monthly rental payments and administering tenancy deposit returns.

Personality profile:


  • A minimum of 12 months residential property management experience
  • A born organiser, keen for responsibility, with strong negotiation skills and an ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Proactive, confident, willing to learn and happy to get stuck in
  • Excellent IT, written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good sense of humour
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle required
  • An interest in the countryside and rural communities would be beneficial

Salary

  • Basic Salary £24,000 £28,000

Hours

  • 5 days a week
  • 9am 5.30pm
