Full Time, Permanent:

  Salary £23,000
• £25,000 per annum based on experience:

  9.30am

• 4.00pm, 5 days per week, including some Saturdays

St Peter's Marlborough is a former church turned community hub for history and the arts. We offer unique events and activities in a landmark building with impressive historic features.

We are looking for a talented and experienced Coffee Shop Manager to help establish our coffee shop's presence on the high street.

As a subsidiary of St Peter's charitable trust, our goal is to nurture a loyal customer base while maintaining agreed profit margins to benefit the trust's fundraising activities.

As Coffee Shop Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Recruit, train, supervise and appraise coffee shop staff
• Monitor budgets to ensure the coffee shop remains profitable
• Maintain inventory and keep operational costs low
• Ensure that food hygiene and storage practices are followed
• Manage all aspects of staff training, including health and safety guidelines
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with coffee shop directors, visitors, and suppliers
• Proven management skills with excellent organisational, time management, communication, and customer service skills
• Experience working in various roles within a coffee shop and the food or hospitality industry. Supervisors looking for progression welcome.
• Basic IT skills, including an understanding of social media platforms Instagram and Facebook
• Financially astute
• An understanding of regulations concerning food health and safety

Working Hours

• The coffee shop is open six days per week, Monday
• Saturday, 10:00am 3:00pm
• The core hours for the manager will be 9:30am 4:00pm, five days a week, often including a Saturday
