Head of Maintenance

Hourly rate or salary - £12.50 per hour

Full time

We are looking for a Grounds & Maintenance Lead at The Oak Tree Inn in Balmaha, on the banks of Loch Lomond.

The role is ideal for someone who is handy and enjoys working outdoors.

The role will include:

Working between the hotel grounds, rooms and nearby new property when required
Ensuring H&S aspects of work, including appropriate Risk Assessments are carried out
Liaising with other Departments in the Hotel to ensure as little disruption as possible to guest experience i.e. working with Reception and Housekeeping
Reporting to General Manager with preemptive maintenance measures and planning around business levels and needs
Ensuring grounds are kept in a presentable manner
Plants and flower beds are maintained to a high standard
Gutters are kept clear from leaves and cobweb build up
Completion of minor improvements in guest accommodation e.g. fixing blinds, moving furniture, paint touch ups
Chopping firewood
Assisting with power cut protocols (training will be provided)
Some light manual duties in the cellar and store rooms
Power washing paved areas and gritting/salting when icy
General plumbing knowledge would be advantageous but not essential

All equipment and PPE will be provided.

Uniform is comfortable, outdoor wear.

The role will include a lot of lone working outside, maintaining our beautiful property
