Maintenance Operative - Up to 35 Hours Per week
Your Responsibilities
Working closely with the Operations Manager, your role will be integral in ensuring the quality of the Hotel is kept to the standards set.
Time management and speed of quality workmanship is paramount to keeping our property at the forefront of the service industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily, Monthly and Weekly property checks ensuring plant, health & safety, appliances and fixtures are all in good working order
- Planned preventive Maintenance
- Reactive maintenance to ensure that all maintenance issues are addressed in a prompt manner
- To follow Fire, Health & Safety guidelines and assist where required to meet the guidelines
- Be aware of all personnel policies as detailed in the staff handbook
- Ensure good communication amongst the maintenance team
- To ensure that all guest impacting maintenance issues are dealt with effectively and in a timely proactive manner.
- Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
- Work with the weekly maintenance schedules and ensure work is completed
- Supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.)
- Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.)
- Monitor inventory of materials and equipment and report low stock
- Ensure effective financial savings for maintenance department
- Manage O&M and job sheet documentation
- Be proficient in multitrade disciplines with electrical, carpentry, decorating and plumbing knowledge and skills
- Proven experience as maintenance operative or similar role
- Good time management and quick problem solving
- Attention to detail
- Have good knowledge of English
- Ability to prioritise work load and ensure effective solutions are delivered
- Experience in managing safety
- Operationally hands on
