This is a great opportunity to join an established Education Centre set up 10 years ago to help reduce permanent exclusions for primary aged children in Tamworth and surrounding area.

As a Classroom Support, you will need to have experience working with children in a sporting environment, community/youth groups or some form of educational setting.


Our client's coaching team offers help and support to children that work better outside of the traditional classroom environment and their goal is to empower children with the life skills needed to transition back into mainstream education.


What we need from you as a Classroom Support:


  • Experience of working with children:
  • Understand principles of child development and learning processes and, barriers to learning
  • Understand Safeguarding
  • Have an understanding in the use of ICT to support learning
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to relate well to a wide range of people

Responsibilities and Tasks:


This role will involve working as part an effective Coaching Team that provides support in addressing the needs of pupils to overcome barriers to learning.

You will be working in a classroom-based environment providing:


  • Pastoral support to pupils to enjoy learning
  • Developing individual's selfesteem, confidence and resilience as well as basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • Supporting the delivery of lessons in line with agreed lesson plans
  • Encouraging pupils to develop positive relationships with staff and peers
  • Information to the coaching team on individual pupil's progress

Salary/Package:
£15,000 - £18,000 per annum (depending on experience)


Hours of work:

Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3pm - some flexibility will be needed around the hours worked, which will be explained at interview stage.

Working 38 weeks (term time only).
