About the role
Filey Church of England Nursery and Infants are looking to recruit a Cleaner to join their team. The hours for this role will be 18.25 hours per week Monday to Friday.

The hours will be worked during the school term plus an additional two weeks during the school holidays, this will allow you to carry out cleaning duties that you are unable to do while the school is open.


The aim of the post is to provide a good quality cleaning service that is responsive to the needs of the school, resulting in a clean and healthy environment for pupils and staff.

Day to day responsibilities may include, but are not limited to;

  • Emptying waste bins
  • Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping the floors
  • Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms
  • Wiping down and dusting furniture
  • Cleaning after lunch.

Job requirements


You will be able to work well within a team, understanding the importance of working together to achieve the highest standards.

You will be able to communicate and relate well to children, other staff members and the wider school community.

You will have fantastic time keeping skills and be a reliable member of the team.
