Timberwise is a leading and successful property preservation company, inspecting and providing cost effective damp and timber remediation to all types of property nationwide and we are now looking to recruit an Accounts / Credit Control Assistant to join our Finance team at our Head Office in Northwich, Cheshire.


As an Accounts / Credit Control Assistant your responsibilities will include:

Purchase Ledger

  • Upon receipt from branches, check all information and authorisation on invoices
  • Input information on invoices into Sage accounting system
  • File invoices
  • Maintain daybook
  • Reconcile suppliers statements and resolve queries raised with branches and suppliers
  • Run monthly BACS payments after producing and reviewing the Payments Report

Sales Ledger

  • Processing sales invoices

Nominal Journals

  • Input monthly Nominal, Sales and Purchase ledger journals

As an Accounts / Credit Control Assistant your responsibilities will include:

Purchase Ledger

  • Upon receipt from branches, check all information and authorisation on invoices
  • Input information on invoices into Sage accounting system
  • File invoices
  • Maintain daybook
  • Reconcile suppliers statements and resolve queries raised with branches and suppliers
  • Run monthly BACS payments after producing and reviewing the Payments Report

Sales Ledger

  • Write customer account code on sales invoices and set up new ones as necessary
  • Batch invoices by branch and input on to computer system

Nominal Journals

  • Input monthly Nominal, Sales and Purchase ledger journals
as required by the Accountant

  • Perform ad hoc tasks as required by the Accountant or Directors
As an Accounts / Credit Control Assistant you will be:

  • Able to prioritise and multi-task
  • Have an excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Have a willingness to learn new systems
  • Have Sage 200 experience
- have experience of Microsoft Office

Hours of work are 25 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday

Job Types:

Part-time hours: 25 per week

£14,950.00-£15,600.00 per year
