Job Description:

The Senior Video Producer reports to the Head of Video.

You will be managing a team of video content creators (camera operators & video editors) making content for 200+ events/media publications/brands across 30+ countries, whilst also fulfilling your own travel/camera operating/editing commitments.

Your department provides the full gambit of pre-production, production & post-production services with a fully equipped in-house studio & on-location coverage of a vast selection of topics, events & high-profile interviews.

The content includes engaging editorial highlight and summary inserts, deep-dives, premium spex/marketing content including promos, interviews/keynotes/awards/video branding/graphics for 200+ brands and publications.


Roles & Responsibilities

Video Production (50%)

  • Predominantly, you'll be involved in filming regularly at our events across the world in exotic locations like Miami and Cannes filming, editing and helping the team create all virtual/f2f event content including highlights, promo's, interviews, keynote recordings, branding/graphics for Informa Connect events globally
  • You will deal with clients/content marketers to discuss projects and ensure deliverables are met
  • You will stay ahead of technology changes and make recommendations to improve processes and use of equipment

Video Team Management **(25%)

  • Management of a small team of video content creators
  • Scheduling and resource allocation of roles and responsibilities between team members
  • Quality control/feedback on projects
  • Training team members and supporting them in various tasks, including helping the team to achieve team targets and developmental goals

Administration (25%)

  • Manage schedules, including but not limited to: general resource allocation, promos, shooting, editing, budgets
  • Make sure all equipment is in good working order and maintained appropriately and accounted for

Qualifications:


  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in some kind of video creation capacity
  • At least 2 year's camera experience (we work with Sony FX6, FX3, FS7, Blackmagic Pocket Cinema
  • At least 2 year's experience using the Adobe Editing Suite (Premiere Pro/After Effects/Photoshop/) or FCPX/similar
  • At least 1 year managing other people in some capacity
  • Proven ability to multitask, plan and execute on multiple projects that include travel planning (flights/hotels), logistics (equipment resource allocation, expenses) manage multiple projects from end to end including budgeting and scheduling of 200+ events a year excel should be your very good friend
  • Good time management and attention to detail
  • Mature temperament capable of dealing well with clients and team members in a calm and friendly manner
  • Full understanding of editing & shooting procedures
  • Full understanding of equipment management and travel logistics
  • Flexible hours and ability to travel overseas extensively

Desirable skills:


  • If you have experience making video content for events/conferences this would be a huge advantage
  • Experience with AI/ML software including LLMs, generative media tools etc.

  • You are within commuting distance to our office near Waterloo station in London. You are not expected to perform an "in-office" role at all times but you will need to be within roughly an hour of the office in order to collect equipment and reliably attend shoots in the city

  • You are awesome at both filming (including solo camera operating, basic lighting & basic sound
- we do not employ lighting/sound technicians - our producers do it all) and you have a flair for editing your own video content under tight deadlines quickly.
