£28,500 - £30,400 per annum


As Senior Digital Marketing Officer you will play a critical role in leading, planning and delivering innovative digital and social media marketing strategies and campaigns to build awareness of our various brands.


In addition to the core focus of social media management and digital advertising lead, the role requires a flexible attitude working across the marketing team to create digital content, video and written copy for our internal and external channels.


Responsibilities


Develop monthly social media content communication plans which ensure communication messages are pre-planned and run parallel to marketing campaigns and activity with an emphasis on course promotion.


To lead on creating effective content for social media including shooting and editing smartphone video and pictures to create authentic content for the group.


To monitor and respond to comments and messages on the social media channels in a professional and timely manner, referring to other departments where required.


Write and generate exciting and engaging content for all social media channels targeted to our key audiences and in the brand style.

Repurpose content from other sources for social media channels and understand how to change the tone of content for eachchannel.

Use social media polls and surveys to increase our social media footprint and reputation.


Develop relationships with staff and students across the Group to proactively seek out fresh and creative content for use on social media platforms and ensure that all key events and activities are covered.

Provide advice and training to cross staff with regards to the social media sites. Monitor activity on these sites and liaise with and assist staff where required.


Be aware of social media chatter about the Group and flag any complaints or reputational concerns with regards to any of the social Media accounts to the Marketing Team Leader.

Engage with group stakeholders, and partners on social media further developing communications and relationship building to grow engagement.

Track key social media analytics monthly including Google Analytics, Bitly, Facebook, Eventbrite, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter etc. And deliver monthly statistical reports on social media engagement and activity and digital advertising.

Track and report website statistics using Google Analytics.

Look at how well specific social media content and digital advertising performs and look at the flow of traffic to key goals.

Set up, track and monitor digital, search and PPC advertising working with a specialist digital agency.


To attend, cover on social media and take an active role in the Marketing Team promotional events i.e., Open Evenings, Community Events etc.

Marketing account management for the SIRS & STPS department. Responsible for managing good relationships with the departments, helping to create content and deliver marketing campaigns.


To set up and create paid social media advertisements for the Group, using appropriate targeting and content creation for the brands target audiences.


To create social media and marketing graphics using Canva and to work with the graphic design team to produce digital, PPC and Search adverts.

To ensure completion of agreed projects and training objectives as agreed with the Director of Marketing, Communications and PR.

To show an active commitment to the Equality and Diversity Policy, Quality Frameworks and Health and Safety Procedure.

To actively participate in continuous professional development including the latest innovations within digital and social media marketing.

To carry out such other appropriate duties commensurate with your skills, knowledge and experience.


Requirements:

Experience of leading on the creation of innovative digital and social media strategies and plans

Experience of leading on digital advertising campaigns including SEO, Search/PPC

Experience of project organisation and management.

Experience of creating engaging videos for social media including TikToks and Instagram reels.

Excellent skills in writing engaging and accurate copy for social media.

Good IT skills including photoshop and web publishing software.

Knowledge of market research techniques.

Be able to write fluently, independently, and creatively for a range of audiences on social media.

Design and video production skills.

Excellent up to date grasp of social media platforms and online technologies.

Commitment to attention to detail including excellent proof-reading skills.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Good understanding of SEO and Google Ad-words / Google Merchants and Google Analytics.
