Job Purpose:

To provide day to day operational and administrative support to the Materials Planning team and Site Manager by way of:

  • Controlling production information and inputting into the required systems.
  • Production planning for both Offshore and Graphics Solutions divisions.
  • Cover for Purchasing function for both Offshore & Graphics divisions.
  • Maintenance of ERP system.
  • Inventory control to agreed parameters.
  • Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.
  • Direct contact with all Supply Chain Departments (Production, Quality, Shipping).
  • Providing support to other functional teams as necessary (Sales/Commercial).
  • Supporting the office administration functions of the business, dealing with daily production paperwork and taking appropriate actions, keeping records and filing documents.
  • Additional duties as prioritised by their supervisor.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for maintaining accurate production records for two business verticals.

File paper based systems Record usage and production in ERP system Create production orders and issue to shop floor Maintain production plans using live data Update Microsoft Access Production Database Day-today maintaining data in ERP system to local, regional and global standards Responsible for planning and execution of toll blend manufacture for Offshore Solutions Administration support and cover for steel / coatings planning Analyse data to create demand plans for both Raw Materials & Finished Goods Analyse sales data to optimise inventory at external warehouse Analyse production data to optimise raw material inventory Maintain MRP data to optimise inventory.

Regularly reviewing lead times, usage data, stock levels, etc Lead Production planning activities as directed by Line Manager Maintain inventory data by performing regular cycle counts and follow up investigations Run monthly costing reports and input new costs into system Support to create and maintain material costs in ERP system Create and maintain material mast data / BOM / Routing in ERP system Support Department to maintain auditable systems and processes.

Assist and support planning team during annual audited stock take.

Assist with audit queries Provide data, analysis and reports to Line Manager, when required Support Line Manager with measurement and reporting of KPI's Support with purchasing of packaging and miscellaneous items.


Requirements & Qualifications:


  • GCSE Maths
  • GCSE English
  • Business Administration NVQ Lvl 3 or Equivalent

Skills:


  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload in a busy environment
  • Able to build credible relationships across the business and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Experience working in a chemical manufacturing business
  • Experience working in both batch and flow production preferred
  • Attention to detail, specifically around reports and data entry
  • IT literate
  • Excellent communication and administrative skills
  • SAP experience preferred

  • Overcoming obstacles with an ability to consider alternative approaches
  • Proactive in ensuring orders are placed as per agreed schedule with suppliers
  • Understanding and analysis production data e.g. yield loss.

  • Ability to set up systems and processes and to manage projects independently.
