The job itself:

East Riding of Yorkshire Council's Supply Service is looking to recruit Teaching Assistants for supply work to schools based within the East Riding of Yorkshire Council area.

You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of schools within a given area stipulated by you.

We are a non-profit service and unlike most agencies we do not charge for payroll or top slice the fee you receive; however, we do ask support supply workers to pay an annual registration fee of £22.

You must provide a full record of employment from leaving compulsory education.

Please leave no unexplained gaps - include periods of unemployment, study, voluntary work, bringing up a family, part time work or multiple employments.

It is especially important that reasons for leaving are given fully.

An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for all supply work.

If you do not already have a valid DBS that is for "Child Workforce" only, this can be organised for a fee of £48.

They can take any time between 2 and 8 weeks to process.
