The contract available is 1 x 30 hour post.

This contract is to work 4 days a week Monday to Sunday to include BH as and when required for which additional payment is made.

Duties will be varied covering both Dining Room and kitchen porter duties. The dining room serves in excess of 300 staff and visitors daily.

You will be supported and trained on how to provide a high level of customer service and restock areas whilst maintaining a clean and hygienic area as you work.

There will be a requirement to handle card and cash payments.


As a Kitchen porter, duties will include assisting the cook in charge with decanting hot liquids and providing provisions to wards by loading of Food Hostess trolleys.

Deep cleaning within the Kitchen area and cleaning of equipment used during the course of the day.

Accepting deliveries into the kitchen and recording temperatures and putting away in allocated holding areas. Collection of food waste bins from Ward areas.

Full training will be provided within the department. Hours of work are 06:00am -20:00pm.

  • Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;
  • Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales
