Are you an experienced and fully qualified Financial Controller? Have you worked in a senior finance role within a manufacturing environment? If so, our client, a leading automotive manufacturer, is recruiting for a Financial Controller for their site in Larkhall.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the role will involve being responsible for the financial accounting of the business and managing and developing the finance team.


Financial Controller

The Financial Controller will have the following responsibilities:

  • Being responsible for the financial accounting of the business and leading and developing the finance team.
  • Working collaboratively with senior management to drive cost saving, remove inefficiencies, and improve processes.
  • Being responsible for management accounts, quarterly forecasts and annual budgets, weekly cashflow forecasts, and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations (accruals, bank accounts, petty cash, fixed assets, etc.).
  • Preparing accurate, ontime company accounts and financial reports; ensuring completion of all relevant statutory returns.
  • Providing value add reporting and financial analysis and advice in accordance with changing business requirements.
  • Implementing and monitoring suitable controls of expenditure out of Revenue and Capital.
  • Overseeing management of cash within the business, including controlling stock levels and minimising debtors.
  • Coordinating and collating information required for annual tax and statutory reporting requirements while ensuring other thirdparty information requirements are met.
  • Assisting in the development of our financial IT and information systems.

Financial Controller
The Financial Controller will require the following essential skills/experience:

  • Full accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, etc.)
  • Prior experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally automotive.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Demonstratable experience managing a standalone company P&L and taking full ownership of budgets and forecasting.
