About the Role:


Base Location:
Thatcham, Reading, Havant, Oxford or Melksham


Salary:
£39,415 - £45,136 + car / car allowance + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Trainer with expertise within the occupational safety areas. You'll facilitate training and conduct assessments to ensure that SSE staff have the knowledge & skills to operate safely. You'll help to develop training sessions and deliver these throughout the UK to meet our customer's needs.

The main responsibilities of this role are:

  • Facilitating training and conducting assessments to ensure individuals have the technical knowledge and skills to work safely.
  • Assisting with the development of training content, ensuring it is aligned to current rules, procedures, and best working practices.
  • Planning the delivery of training plans and content across the UK that meets the needs of our customers. Regular travel is a key requirement of the role given training delivery can be carried out across multiple sites.
  • Providing advice and guidance as a technical expert on the implementation of industry standards and regulations through engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

What do I need?:

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Proven experience of safety training to include but not limited to
  • First Aid, Working at Height, Manual Handling, IOSH Managing Safely and other inhouse courses with the ability to deliver virtually and face to face.
  • A teaching qualification such as Level 3 Education and Training or equivalent would be desirable, but SSE will provide you with support to achieve this.
  • An assessor qualification would be desirable, but SSE will provide you with support to achieve this.
  • Health & safety experience, Technical IOSH or above would be desirable.
