Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time permanent Band 7, Chief Audiologist at University Hospital Monklands.

Shift Pattern; Monday to Friday, 9am till 5pm.


Please Note; Car driver and access to vehicle essential.


The post holder will have the lead role in one or more of the specialist areas of Audiology Service provision, namely local operational management of a department and may have lead role in a speciality ie Tinnitus management, Paediatric assessment.


The post holder will provide local staff management within the department, which will include, Senior Clinical Audiologists, Clinical Audiologists, Senior Audiology Assistants and Students.


KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB

  • Initial qualification may be BAAT Parts I and II/BSc Hons Audiology or MSc Audiology.
  • The post holder will have at least 5 years post qualification and will have experience working at a Senior Clinical level and will have developed experience and expertise in all areas of clinical work and managing teams.
  • The post holder will be knowledgeable and up to date in professional issues, CPO requirements and student training.
  • The post holder may have a qualification in management to certificate level or beyond or can demonstrate experiential learning and development.
  • Will be IT literate and familiar with Word, Excel, Access and Power point.
  • Will have highly developed communication and negotiating skills.
