Description
Role:
We are looking to appoint a Document Controller within our Building Services division to help with administrative support for our rapidly-growing, successful team.
The G&H Group is a c.£50 million mechanical and electrical contracting business that employs in the region of 180 members of staff and operates on a national level.
It has five divisions:
Building Services, Engineering Services, Projects, Maintenance and Air Conditioning.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Design Manager
- Controlling all internal and external project documentation for office and site use
- Following and improving document control procedures
- Assisting with ensuring all documentation meets requirements and required standards
- Sorting, storing and retrieving electronic and hard copy documents for design and contract teams
- Main point of contact for receiving external document transmittals
- Producing document issue sheets
- Ensuring documents are shared at key times to facilitate timely project completion
- Using Document Management Systems for document / drawings distribution
- Conducting regular reviews and document audits (internal and external)
Criteria:
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent computer literacy
- Thorough and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Flexible attitude to balance work loads and deadlines
