**Key Accountabilities & Job Overview: **We are looking for a number of Surveyors to work at all levels, Surveyor/Senior
Surveyor/Principal Surveyor to work within our growing Renewables Team in Scotland,
helping to deliver land assembly and consent management services across a wide
portfolio of renewable energy technologies.

As a land acquisition and compensation focussed company, Ardent are currently the
leading land advisors for major infrastructure projects in the UK. Based in Scotland, the
role will be to support the provision of land advice to primarily renewable energy clients
working on a complex portfolio of projects. The role covers an interesting variety of
technical areas and will involve some travel and occasional working from client's offices.
Example work includes; attending client meetings, drafting acquisition strategies,
preparing property cost estimates, undertaking site visits, consulting affected parties,
meeting with landowners and stakeholders, negotiating survey access and land rights,
hearings and tribunal and securing land entry.

We are looking for team players who are driven, confident and who have an emphasis

on quality and attention to detail:

  • To provide a wide range of professional rural surveying property services for the
promotion and delivery of nationally significant infrastructure projects.

  • To play an active role in the delivery of projects with guidance from the appropriate
Line Manager.

  • To provide guidance and advice to clients in a technical capacity, within limits of
knowledge and experience, deferring to more senior colleagues where
appropriate.

  • To manage the financial aspect of projects reporting to the appropriate Director
with regards to project completion and invoicing.

  • Contribute to Team Meetings, reporting to Line Manager and Project Managers on
resource requirements for projects and any day-to-day project or company issues.

  • Contribute to business development for the company by inputting into tenders,
representing the company at functions and creating relationships with clients and
other disciplines through project work.

  • Develop professional and commercial awareness and keeping abreast of work
- related and industry updates.

**Knowledge, Experience & Skills Required: **- Formal qualification to degree level accredited by the RICS

  • MRICS and or FAAV.
  • An understanding of the Electricity Act, Compulsory Purchase Legislation &
Compensation Code.

  • Experience of engaging and negotiating with landowners and land agents.
  • Good Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in
writing to a variety of audiences from clients to claimants.

  • Selfmotivated and proactive, able to manage time efficiently working as part of a
team or in isolation and meet deadlines.

  • Good commercial acumen.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Willingness to accept responsibility and develop new skills.
  • Good working knowledge of IT.
  • A good team player, with a keen willingness to learn and support colleagues.
  • Compliance with policies and procedures in accordance with Ardent's ISO 9001
(Quality) and ISO Environment) accreditations.

**Desirable: - Experience of being part of a large infrastruct
