We are thrilled to offer an outstanding opportunity for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our client's dynamic team at their Factory site in Swansea.
In this role, you'll lead a team in managing warehouse activities, decanting, and stock movements while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
The Role
Overseeing the development and maintenance of a safe and efficient warehouse operation, meeting production demands and ensuring seamless material flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the warehouse operation, ensuring staff are welltrained, organised, and equipped to achieve performance targets.
- Uphold the highest standards of health and safety for all personnel and visitors, serving as a Fire Marshall and First Aider for the Factory.
- Maintain compliance with Quality System and stock recording procedures to ensure accurate traceability of materials.
- Ensure optimal warehouse organisation and housekeeping standards to support operational efficiency and uphold the companies positive image.
- Oversee regular inspections and maintenance of warehouse equipment, including racking and forklift trucks, to ensure safe and effective operation.
- Implement waste management procedures and drive initiatives to minimise waste across warehouse operations.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, empowering staff to contribute to enhancing operational efficiency.
- Foster a culture of fairness, dignity, and respect among warehouse staff, while managing attendance and addressing performance issues rigorously and fairly.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators to monitor warehouse operations' effectiveness and efficiency.
- Conduct monthly cycle counts of warehouse inventory, aiming for >98% accuracy, and update inventory locations on SAP as needed.
- Perform warehouse operations tasks, including receiving and dispatch, to meet production targets.
- Previous experience in warehouse or stock management within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in computerized stock management/MRP systems, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Supervisory or management experience.
- Current Reach and Counterbalance Truck licenses.
- Full Driving License.
