Description

Our client, a leading PLC and employer of choice, with a stellar reputation for talent planning and development, is looking to hire a credible Senior Finance Manager to lead a dynamic team.

This is a newly created role to manage the financial reporting,accounting and control within Property Finance; playing a key part in developing a best in class function.

Main duties include:

Managing and mentoring a team of both qualified and partqualified
Responsibility for the accurate accounting and reporting of fixed assets and leases (IFRS16)
Accountable for impairment review process and accounting for assets over £6bn
Ensuring the integrity and full statutory compliance of financial statements and providing high quality first line reporting
Ensuring controls are designed and operated effectively through the control framework
Relationship management with external auditors
Deputise for Head of Finance as necessary

Key skills & experience required:

Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Broad accounting knowledge, ability to talk through ideas and assess wider impacts
Rounded technical skills, expertise across a range of accounting and financial areas
Influencing skills the interpersonal skills to build relationships and leverage these to shape operational decision making
Challenging others confident in challenging others, whilst maintaining a strong, professional relationship
Passionate leader, enjoys developing talent and encouraging others' success, has a proven track record in people management
Strong change mindset, examples to date of improving processes
