Due to our continued success and expansion, Midland Structures Ltd are seeking an experienced Senior Tekla Detailer to join our growing team.

Commutable to Brierley Hill, West Midlands, you will have previous experience working on primary structure steel detailing, as well as being highly competent in the use of Tekla software.

WORKING HOURS Mon - Thurs, 08:00 - 17:00 and Friday 08:00 - 15:30.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create detailed structural steel models in Tekla Structures software.
• Generate fabrication drawings and material lists from the models.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects & project managers to ensure accuracy & completeness of designs.
• Use industry standards and best practices to ensure quality & efficiency of designs.
• Communicate with fabricators & contractors to ensure successful fabrication & construction of structures.
• Review & analyse project specifications & requirements to ensure compliance.
• Participate in design & construction meetings as needed.
• Continuously update & improve skills & knowledge of Tekla Structures software & industry trends.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Expert knowledge of Tekla Structures software.
• Min. of 5 years' experience detailing primary structure steelwork (ideally UKbased projects).
• Ability to read & interpret often complex architectural & engineering drawings.
• Confidently create detailed shop & fabrication drawings for steel structures.
• Knowledge of industry standards & codes related to steel detailing.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with engineers, architects & internal stakeholders.
• Attention to detail & ability to identify & resolve design issues effectively & efficiently.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines & manage multiple projects.
• Able to work both individually & as part of a team on shared projects & objectives.

Through investment and innovation, we have developed a supply chain capable of accommodating our customer's requirements with projects ranging from 1 tonne up to 1000 tonnes.

With the latest software and machinery, we are able to process in excess of 150 tonnes of steelwork per week.

Our 70,000 sq. ft.

factory is equipped with two cut and drill lines, submerged arc welding, in house shot blasting, plasma cutting, robotic coping, off site assembly and a dedicated intumescent paint facility.

Our Cutting-Edge facility reliably gives customers steelwork delivered on time and within budget allowing us to focus on building relationships within the industry.
