We are a growing business that styles customers in secondhand fashion.

We need a garment technician to work with us on a flexible contract in our Nottingham city centre HQ, with our inventory.

The ideal person will have garment tech and design experience, and understand how sizing, intended fit, and all things to do with measurements and fit are optimised.

As well as some garment repair Responsibilities will include:

Build on our current sizing guidelines that take body measurements, then add ease based on garment type and intended fit, to give us garment measurement calculations.
Create all sizing rules for all types of garments. So, how much ease is intended for a shift dress versus a skater dress or a bodycon?
What are the key measurements (shoulders, bust, waist, hips, length, sleeve etc)?
How does stretch and fabric construction affect measurements?
How do body measurements correlate to garment measurements?
Build on our current measurement guidelines to ensure all team members are measuring garments accurately.
How does cut affect garment measurements?
What are the different cuts we need to capture that correlate to client body "avoids" (e.g. no sleeveless for those that want to avoid upper arms).

This is an important role for the company, and we're looking for someone who will bring the right skills, energy, intelligence and commitment to building our company.
