Description

The University of West London (UWL) is ranked the best modern* university (non-specialist) in London in the Complete University Guide 2023.

We were also named University of the Year for Student Experience in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021, being described by the editor as "regularly among the top-performing universities" and proving that "it is possible for a London-based institution to achieve outstanding levels of student satisfaction beyond other universities".

The Department
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Centre for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT).

CELT is the University's academic development unit and our focus is to build excellence across the institution by influencing the pedagogy, underpinning our courses, and shaping the environment and the curriculum to deliver the highest standards of teaching and learning across the institution.

The model we seek to emulate (both online and face-to-face) is underpinned by strategies that promote engagement, value the voice of students, and enable effective and evidence-based approaches to teaching.

The Role

The Person
The postholder will have excellent knowledge of supporting teaching and learning in higher education, and the associated pedagogies. Their approach will be innovative, creative, and focused on students' needs.

They will need to have a detailed, in-depth understanding of technologies used to support learning at UWL, and a sound understanding of learning theories underpinning student learning.

How to Apply

We will be shortlisting and interviewing for this post on an ongoing basis and reserve the right to close this role prior to the closing date.

Additional Information
Please be advised that it is expected that appointment within a grade will normally be at the minimum point.
