Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm (part-time hours also an option)

A
Business Development Manager is needed to join our growing technology business based in Sheffield city centre.

GWD proudly helps socially minding organisations transition to digital systems. Our current focus is helping charities transition to contactless donations using our market-leading product, the Donation Station. Our sustainably built solution has helped raise almost £2m for good causes with household names amongst our clients.

ABOUT THE ROLE _


The main purpose of the role is to spot opportunities to sell our products and build relationships with target customers, including developing our new market with corporate/retail customers.

To do this, you will demonstrate the Donation Station to inbound sales leads over video calls, with the aim of converting them into Donation Station customers.


You will be given achievable revenue targets and we will work closely with the Sales Manager to track and meet monthly and annual sales quotas.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING _

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Achieving sales goals by assessing client needs and following a defined selling process, often utilizing product demos and presentations
  • Engaging with prospects, book meetings and make effective qualifying sales calls
  • Responding to new sales leads using our website chat function
  • Logging activity and customer information in our HubSpot CRM to ensure we have rich and accurate data to report on
  • Understanding and interacting with our automated lead generation and lead nurturing tools
  • Maintaining relationships with existing clients to ensure customer success and identify potential new sales opportunities
  • Developing indepth product knowledge and using this to conduct demos and handle objections
  • Preparing professional and accurate proposals
  • Coordinating with other sales team members to ensure company targets and standards are being met, performing market research and regular competitor monitoring
  • Travelling to customer sites and trade shows, as needed within the UK


As well as this list, you will need to take on other tasks in line with the job, but we will provide you with the tools you need to succeed, whatever we ask you to do.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO SUCCEED _

The following are
essential requirements for the role:


  • Be based within easy/quick reach of our Sheffield city centre office
  • Previous experience in a B2B sales role
  • Experience using a mainstream CRM tool to manage sales activity
  • Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience in product demonstrations and sales presentations
  • Ability to develop knowledge of the charitable sector and market trends
  • Comfortable operating in a fast paced, everchanging world of tech innovation
  • Strong communication and rapport building skills
  • The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent time management, organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to balance persuasion with professionalism
  • Strong attention to detail

The following are
desirable requirements for the role:


  • Experience using HubSpot CRM in a previous sales role
  • Experience of technical/IT sales i.e. software and/or hardware
  • Experience in the charitable/fundraising sector
