Job Introduction


The individual will provide support and assistance to colleagues in our international offices - working on a wide range of international topics, including but not limited to: (i) financial crime, (ii) anti-money laundering, (iii) new client acceptance, (iv) horizon scanning, (v) data protection, (vi) information security, (vii) supplier on-boarding, and (viii) risk management.

Training, supervision and guidance will be provided by our multinational team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Carrying out due diligence enquiries before accepting clients (and on an ongoing basis), including the investigation of Financial Sanctions.
  • Assisting our international offices with new client acceptance in accordance with our Anti-Money Laundering / Financial Crime policies.
  • Drafting, organising, distributing and (where applicable) completing due diligence questionnaires (which our clients have requested from our international offices (or which we have requested from our suppliers).
  • Assisting all Money Laundering Reporting Officers, and Data Protection Officers as required.
  • Assisting the international offices' Company Secretaries with filing or regulatory obligations as required from time to time.
  • Assisting with various aspects of DACB's ongoing projects to expand its international offering.
  • Assisting with the preparation of reports for the General Counsel and wider DACB management.
  • Horizon scanning for legislative and regulatory changes that may affect our international business, and putting forward ideas and potential solutions to address them.
  • Assisting with the development and upkeep of the international framework of policies.
  • Proactive auditing of various internal processes and controls to ensure they remain appropriate and robust.
  • Developing auditing frameworks to collect and analyse data to identify trends to help the team improve their operational practices.
  • Researching a wide variety of topics in relation to the above listed topics as applicable in various jurisdictions.
  • Essential_
  • Will have experience in a similar role (auditor / paralegal / legal assistant) or an interest to develop their risk and compliance expertise in the above.
  • Enjoy dynamic and fastpaced work.
  • Confident and proactive, with excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Able to work under pressure, and efficiently manage time to meet evolving business needs.
  • Enjoy research, critical analysis, administrative support and new challenges

  • Qualified to degree level education in any country (preferably in Law).
  • The ability to communicate effectively in a second language (European languages are of particular interest).
  • Advantageous_
  • Previous experience of working in a regulated industry, such as Legal or Financial Services in an international environment.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office packages (further training will be given, if required).
