Plant Hire Controller - St Albans, United Kingdom - M O'Brien Group of companies
Description
As Hire Desk Controller you will have responsibility for:- Receiving orders from customers and liaising with the service and transport departments to oversee fulfilment of the order
- Liaising with customers and any enquiries
- Receiving customer's order and inputting them into the IT system
- Providing costing and quotes to customers
- Managing offhires and processing on our IT system
- Developing and maintaining knowledge of the Company's equipment for hire or sale
- Supporting the Management team in leading and contributing to the regular review of the depot's procedures to improve customer service, performance and productivity
- Calculating, supply and chasing of quotations
- Generating reports for our customers where required
Skills requirements:
- A professional manner with good communication and people skills,
- Around 2 years work experience in plant hire,
- PC literate with experience of Microsoft Systems (experience of Syrinx would be beneficial),
- Ability to prioritise work load and work to tight deadlines,
- Local area knowledge for the depot areas served,
- Motivated selfstarter with good administration, time management and organisation skills.
