Description
As Hire Desk Controller you will have responsibility for:

  • Receiving orders from customers and liaising with the service and transport departments to oversee fulfilment of the order
  • Liaising with customers and any enquiries
  • Receiving customer's order and inputting them into the IT system
  • Providing costing and quotes to customers
  • Managing offhires and processing on our IT system
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of the Company's equipment for hire or sale
  • Supporting the Management team in leading and contributing to the regular review of the depot's procedures to improve customer service, performance and productivity
  • Calculating, supply and chasing of quotations
  • Generating reports for our customers where required

Skills requirements:

  • A professional manner with good communication and people skills,
  • Around 2 years work experience in plant hire,
  • PC literate with experience of Microsoft Systems (experience of Syrinx would be beneficial),
  • Ability to prioritise work load and work to tight deadlines,
  • Local area knowledge for the depot areas served,
  • Motivated selfstarter with good administration, time management and organisation skills.
