GSL Education are working with a client school in
Torquay who are looking for a
patient and empathetic Teaching Assistant to act as a
supportive and positive influence on its pupils.

Working to maintain a safeand inclusive environment, we need you to be able to
create fun in learning and to be a
calming and understanding role model when dealing with any additional needs and requirements necessary.

You will need to be;:

Comfortable supporting pupils with complex and additional needs
Able to provide social, emotional, and academic support on a 1:1 and small group basis when required
Able to establish a warm, caring and supportive relationship with pupils allowing them to feel safe and able to enjoy and learn during their time at school.
Able to support the class teacher in the delivery of a creative curriculum, outdoor curriculum, or playbased learning curriculum.
Able to provide individualised behaviour interventions within your role as well as ensuring the child's safety at all times.
Be confident in their abilities and have a passion for helping people
Know how to support the inclusion and progress of children with SEMH
Have the right to work in the UK.
Have an uptodate CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
