Where do you come in?


As a Jetvac Scheduler your role is to schedule in both reactive and planned work for our field staff, ensuring they have a full day's work which is planned and organised to obtain the best possible efficiencies taking into consideration mileage and fuel costs.

You will ensure permits go ahead consistently and we adhere to our customer promise and performance commitments.

You will use your excellent customer service skills to keep both field staff as well as customers informed of scheduled plans ensuring we have met our KPI's and performance targets through effective scheduling.


Responsibilities include:

  • Effective scheduling of planned and reactive activities meetings KPIs and SLAs to support the sewerage network.
  • Incident and job management for all Wessex Water customers, liaising with emergency services, local councils, regulatory bodies, and operational staff.
  • Attend meetings when requested to support Jetvac management with the prioritisation of work and to capture asset data.
  • Record schedules on a crew sheet daily to ensure continuity of service and provide resilience for colleagues.
  • Assist with training within the regional scheduling team to keep staff up to date with the latest information and help develop skills.
  • Log permits on and off in line with local authority procedures.

What do I need?


To thrive in this role, you will be a natural organiser with excellent communication skills and be strongly customer focused.

You will be motivated by delivering excellent quality of work and will do this by thinking on your feet to effectively resolve customer issues.


In addition, we are looking for:

  • PC and systems literate with good all-round IT knowledge.
  • The ability to plan and organise self and others.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Identifying changes in processes and procedures.
  • Motivated to achieve all targeted results and performance commitments.
  • The ability to resolve customer incidents oneself or with assistance from other parties.
  • Understanding the need to deliver excellent quality work that meets the required business standards.
  • Excellent communication skills when dealing with internal and external customers.
