What you will be doing...

As a Software Tester in Nextbase you will be expected to validate that new & existing products meet acceptance criteria defined by specification documents and user stories created by the wider business.

In this role you will ensure that each piece of software is thoroughly tested prior to release to customers, with the aim of catching defects as early in the development life cycle as possible reducing the risk to the company.

Your focus will be on setting up test infrastructure for both automated and manual at various levels of testing.

This is an exciting role where you get to make a real positive impact on the testing practices and processes.

Key Responsibilities
Your day to day will be varied but consist of a mixture of:

Collaborating with developers to establish the root cause of defects.
Working with our Test Manager to improve process and drive forward meaningful change.
Develop and maintain automated test infrastructure.
Attend meetings with wider development department representing testing team.
Create test cases on various software platforms (AIO/Google Sheets/Excel).
Manage defect life cycle on Jira/GitLab.
Verify specification of new products.
Analyse user stories/use cases/requirements.
Assist in designing/developing automated test scripts.
Provide support and documentation.
Work with project managers to progress defects through to resolution.
