Senior Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Salary:
£48,000+

Location:
Milton Keynes

Job Overview:


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage and prioritize a caseload of service users with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate appropriate rehabilitation goals, care plans, and communication therapy programs.
  • Overcome barriers in communication and engage service users in assessment, rehabilitation, and discharge planning.
  • Lead in the planning, development, and evaluation of speech and language therapy services within the team.
  • Participate in research and development projects relevant to speech and language therapy.
  • Contribute to the recruitment, training, education, and development of others, including service users and staff.
  • Maintain professional competence through continuous learning and development opportunities.

Requirements:


  • A master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Extensive experience working with service users with acquired brain injury.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
