Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic clinician to join a new service for Complex Emotional and Relational Needs.

The service will assertively engage service users with severe and complex presentations that standard pathway interventions do not work. The service will be integrated within the Community Treatment Teams in North Cumbria.

Our Community Mental Health Services for adults (Community Treatment Teams/ CTTs) are organised across North West Cumbria (Allerdale and Copeland) and North East Cumbria (Carlisle and Eden Valley).

We offer evidence-based treatments to those within our service, such as CBT and FI to those presenting with a psychosis and have a well-established pathway incorporating SCM and MBT for those presenting with needs relating to their personality.

There are opportunities in both pathways and teams, so let us know your preference at interview.

You will be supported by a dedicated and experienced MDT, with strong, progressive and supportive leadership from senior psychological staff.

Opportunities for the successful applicant include varied work on well-established intervention pathways, with trainers in their fields, and being part of a Community Mental Health Service at an exciting time of transformation and change in terms of psychological interventions, owing to the IAPT-SMI initiatives and Long-Term Plan.

These improvements will lead to the further development of psychological therapies within the CTTs.

There are opportunities for personal development, including through our strong links with local supervisors and training initiatives, as well as the HEE-funded training courses that are currently linked with CMHT Community Transformation.

If you're interested in working in a multi-disciplinary team in psychology services in an area of outstanding natural beauty with very good transport links (road and public transport) with the North West and North East, for a large Trust rated as Outstanding by CQC, then please don't hesitate to contact us to find out more.

For more information about our services please don't hesitate to contact us.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the clinical leadership of the team alongside the Pathway Manager, and wider MDT including Psychology.

They will provide regular case load supervision to ensure that clinical standards are being met, and support the interface with the wider system, both internally and externally.

You will use your expertise to role model to the team, and be develop your leadership abilities to ensure safe, effective care.
