Description

Reporting to the Hard FM Manager, the post holder's prime focus will be to manage all Hard FM monitoring processes, audits and challenge all performance aspects in line with Schedule 14 of the Trusts PFI contract with Progress Health (Peterborough) to ensure adherence to the Trusts Construction Requirements and Project Co Proposals.


The post holder will be responsible for the management of the small works process for Peterborough City Hospital, providing drawings and undertaking initial surveys as required by Trust users.


The post holder will be a core member of the Estates and Facilities team and will deputise for the Hard FM Manager in times of absence for Estates and Facilities related matters.


Assist in ensuring that the management of the estate stand up to the scrutiny of internal/external auditors in terms of Health and Safety, value for money, standards of service, compliance with NHS guidance and other statutory documentation relating to the management of NHS premises.


Ensure all activities are undertaken in a timely manner to enable the Trust to be compliant and meet regulatory requirements.


Working with the procurement team, prepare specifications and tender documents in line with standing financial instructions (SFI's), evaluate tenders and oversee contract award and implementation.


To sustain and ensure multi-disciplinary working between estates and facilities managers and seek opportunities to share resources and work collaboratively, where appropriate, with the facilities team.


Deputise for the Hard FM manager in relation to key committees, meetings and other areas of the wider estates department.

Manage minor works from specification, through tendering, site management and handover in an efficient and timely manner.

Ensure that complaints are dealt with in line with Trust policy and expectations. This includes associated response and reporting on Datix.

Ensure outsourced services provide compliant service solutions in accordance with the agreed service level specifications
