Overview
The Facilities & Warehouse Assistant holds day to day operational responsibility for all warehouse processes on behalf of the client.
Key focus for this role is to ensure that all services are delivered in a confident and efficient manner and that all warehouse, stock management and movement and associated tasks run as smoothly as possible.
This role will also be responsible for arranging some subcontracted M&E services and working with the Pareto mobile engineer to deliver planned preventative maintenance to the client.
Experience & Qualifications
- IOSH Working Safely training can be provided
- 1 year's minimum experience in similar role
- Desirable but not required
- Reach or counterbalance forklift license
General Responsibilities
- Active management of the client's warehouse
- Be responsible for the ongoing organisation of the warehouse; ensuring all items are in the correct location and returned after use
- Manage the inventory
- Ensure clear and accurate identification of stock at all times
- Maintenance of clients electronic database
- Assisting testing team with keeping site organised to a high standard i.e. packing tested products and relocating to warehouse; disposal of empty cardboard boxes, general housekeeping
- Operating Forklift
- Manage all stock movement and incoming deliveries: load, unload, verify and check in orders
- Regular control of labelling, accessories, and helping with maintenance
- Understand the importance of stock checks and how to complete them.
- Assist client team with sending out testing products via APC couriers
- Liaising with Facilities to dispatch DSE equipment to the office workers control the stock, order when required, pack securely, arrange courier
- Support assembly of large/ bulky items for on site testing; disassemble and repack
- Manual handling is a requirement of the role and training will be provided
- Operate to the highest possible standards in relation to H&S compliance at all times for own and all other's welfare.

- Provision of support around room & resource booking and visitor management
- A cando attitude.
- Maintain and promote strong customer relationships with all key stakeholders to ensure total alignment of the services provided.
- Escalate any H&S issues in the building to the Facilities Manger on site.
- Willing to step up and fill any duties assigned by the Facilities Manager on site.
- First aid and fire marshal duties
- Organising and managing subcontractors to include booking in client diaries, escorting while on site and follow up on site visits, remedials and closeout.
- Responsible for opening the building: brining in early deliveries (milk) restocking staff fridges and unloading dishwashers in the morning
- Perform routine inspections of property to check for maintenance problems and to report emergencies in the case of faults with gas, electric and water supply to the FM
- Carry out weekly and daily facilities checks
