SIM Demon is offering this exciting opportunity to become part of both the team and the business at our NEW, two-floor SIM Centre, Showroom, Warehouse and HQ offices in Tiverton, Devon.

A job opportunity has become available at SIM Demon due to continued growth.

SIM Demon has a vacancy for a Warehouse Operative, this position will be a part-time role with a minimum of 20 hours per week to begin with.

However, it is envisaged that the job could develop into a full-time position as the company grows further.


The job will require you to take on all of the responsibilities involved in processing orders that come into SIM Demon every day.

The orders will mostly be through online sales but there will also be orders taken by telephone so you will need to be a confident communicator.

You will need to have, or be willing to learn, suitable computer skills to deal with the ordering system. Full training will be given during the probationary period.

Primary duties will be reading online orders, selecting the products from the warehouse and packing the orders in a safe and responsible way to ensure they reach the customers in perfect order.

There are set collection times every day for each courier company and they have to be worked to and met.


Responsibilities will also include maintaining stock levels by monitoring outgoing products and ordering supplies when stocks fall below a given level.

This will require competent computer skills and 100% accuracy when placing orders.

When products are received from suppliers you will carry out quality control measures to ensure that everything SIM Demon provides its customers is of the highest standard.


An essential responsibility will be keeping the warehouse, stock shelving and order processing area in a clean, tidy and orderly condition.

A professional working environment has to be maintained at all times.

A degree of flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the company.

If during working hours the demands of primary responsibilities are completed you will be required to carry out a variety of jobs within the company to help colleagues who may need assistance or to fulfil routine office tasks.

There will be three stages in the 6-month probationary period.

After the first month, we will have an informal meeting to discuss how you are progressing with the training programme.

At 3 months you will have a formal appraisal and then at 6 months a final appraisal.

This process is to make sure you are happy in the job, that you want the position to become permanent and to make sure that all of the needs of the job are being met for the well-being of the company.

  • Able to work to set daily deadlines in a busy environment
  • Methodical, organised and able to follow picking, packing and shipping procedures
  • Able to manage goods in, stock allocation, stock checks and warehouse
  • A good communicator able to respond to customer questions in writing and by phone
  • Be committed to a flexible approach to fulfil the needs of this job role
  • Punctual with a flexible approach to work

Desirable qualities that will help fulfil the job role:

  • Past experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Understanding ERP systems
  • Experience with computer hardware, gaming or simulators
  • Enthusiasm for working with technology, simulators, cars and planes
  • A gamer at heart, enjoy SIM Racing/Flying already
  • Knowledge of the SIM market and existing brands that are available
