Overview:
Ark Education Centre in Ilford provides comprehensive learning support for children aged 8 to 18.

As an Ofsted Registered Centre approved by Pearson Edexcel, OCR, Cambridge International and AQA, we offer 11 Plus, Maths, English, and Science tuition.

Our students can take public examinations such as GCSE and A Level at our centre. Additionally, we are approved by the British Computer Society (BCS) for children to learn coding and gain qualifications.

We are seeking a dedicated Tutor to join our team. As a Tutor, you will have the opportunity to educate and support students in their academic journey.


Duties:

• Assist students with homework assignments, test preparation, and study skills development.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary to ensure understanding and improvement.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to provide updates on student performance and discuss areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to develop strategies for supporting students with special education needs.
• Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and other stakeholders.
• Knowledge of special education principles and strategies for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Strong organizational skills to effectively plan lessons and track student progress.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying areas for improvement in student performance.
