THE APPOINTMENT
This post is for a position in Rheumatology.


THE POST


The post is pivotal to the continued development and quality of rheumatology at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and will support the existing consultants in rheumatology.

We are always looking for enterprising and innovative approaches to the way we provide our services.

We are a national centre for telemedicine and introduced telehealth to the UK offender healthcare sector and also provide the service to patients in their care homes.

Community matters to us and we are supported by 400 dedicated volunteers and have strong links with Bradford University, Craven College and Leeds City College to ensure we inspire the workforce of the future.

DUTIES


The principle duties of this post are to provide a comprehensive, high quality service to rheumatology patients from the Airedale health economy.

To, at all times, comply with the GMC requirements of Duties of a Doctor & Good Medical Practice

To ensure that patient confidentiality and information governance is maintained at all times.

To undertake duties as defined within the job plan in so far as practicable and in agreement with your clinical director and lead clinician for rheumatology


To be responsible and managerially accountable for the reasonable and effective use of any Trust resources that you use and influence, and professionally accountable to the Executive Medical Director.

On commencement to ensure personal attendance at the Trust's Corporate Induction.

To participate in the Trust's mandatory training programme

To be responsible for the clinical management of in and out patients under your care.

Any other duties necessary for the successful performance of the role, commensurate with the grade.


In pursuing these duties the post holder will ensure compliance with the NHS Constitution and be familiar with the NHS England Guidance 'Understanding the new NHS' (details of which can be found in the links section of NHS Jobs).
